Waterwheel

Waterwheel
in Daeyeon Arboreturn Exhibition

In Korea, a water mill located a little far from the village was famous as a place of assignation of young men and women of the town.

The word waterwheel is a compound word of a spinning wheel and a mill. As a traditional Korean farming tool, there is usually one waterwheel in villages where water is relatively abundant, so they were used jointly.

In modern Korea, there are few places where watermills are substituted for agricultural equipment.

Reminiscing of the old days, it is common in parks and large restaurants for physiognomy.
