[Opinion] Ethiopia & HWPL Event

Ethiopia & HWPL Event

One of the important directions I realized from HWPL is the fact that
it brings all religious people all over the world for peace.
On the 14th of March 2016, a great event took place in South Korea, Seoul,
the ceremony of proclamation of declaration of cessations of war and achieving world peace.

There are so many wars in every corner of the glob but no peace around it.
Every morning whatever you browse, read, watch or listen to the media,
you only encounter with news of wars and conflicts.

The people must ask when will the media, supposed to be the watchdog of the people, set peace agendas.
Should they have to wait until peace will thrive?
Or should they work for peace in collaboration with the peace loving people all over the world?

In fact, they need to adjust their media agenda settings in line with the efforts to end war and conflicts as well as enhance peace throughout the world. World peace advocate Man Hee Lee while speaking to international media has emphasized, "If media does not inform the country of these peace works, most people cannot realize how the world itself is changed in the name of peace. So I hope you can join in our peace movement continuously as a representative of media in your country".

Nowadays, there is no peace across the Middle East, Africa, Asia, and the likes. The glob is full of turmoil. These have direct or indirect impact to the countries even with a relatively better situation.

It is time to think a new approach in bringing peace to the world other than the approach the international community has been utilizing so far to bring and maintain peace. There is need to have a binding law that could help for the cessations of war and achieving world peace.

The world should cooperate for a binding law that could bring all peace stakeholders: religious people, the youth, women and others, together for the same vision. What if we Africans and the rest of the world look at what has been taking on in South Korea by Heavenly Culture, World Peace Restoration of Light? It has been working hard to bring lasting peace to the world. Based in South Korea, the organization has been working for the cessation of wars.

One of the important directions I realized from HWPL is the fact that it brings all religious people all over the world for peace. Besides, it managed to mobilize all religions, the youth, women and media for peace.

All kinds of wars should be ended and leave the space for peace to thrive. On the 14th of March 2016, a great event took place in South Korea, Seoul, the ceremony of proclamation of declaration of cessations of war and achieving world peace.

The Declaration of Peace and Cessation of War comprises ten major Articles: Prohibition of threat or use of force, War potential, Friendly relations and the prohibition of acts of aggression, State boundaries, Self determination, Dispute settlement, right to self defence, Freedom of religion, Religion, ethnic identity and peace as well as spreading a culture of peace.

This proclamation may not significantly differ from what is already mentioned in other laws and conventions. However, the approach is quite different from what has attempted so far. This is just bringing the efforts of the youth, women, religious people, media practitioners and politicians together.

It is working to mobilize the entire people to stand for peace and influence groups who have been attempting to destabilize the world and maintained such unstable situation to cease from their ill-activities.

If this is the case, bringing all religions together for peace is so crucial in attaining lasting peace in the world. It is therefore mandatory to mobilize the youth, women, media parishioners political leaders and religious fathers to work in collaboration for the end of wars and the thieve of world peace. Religions should come together to work for peace to end wars that have been devastatingly affect the lives of mankind. As Buddha put, "Better than a thousand hollow words, is one word that brings peace".
