Fern in Korea & Peace Steps

The Maidenhair Fern easily seen

in the mountains of Korea

and 2021 Peace Steps

Are there any Paleozoic plants we still eat?

Are there any edible ferns in your country?

Plants that existed in the dark days that are hard to imagine, and those plants still exist.

Guess what?

It is a fern or maidenhair fern or bracken.

Not 2,000 years, not 20,000 years, but more than 200 million years, this plant is a fern.

I took pictures of maidenhair fern, a plant of ancient times, from the mountains today.

These maidenhair, which can be easily found in the mountains of Korea, is one of the three-colored herbs (Bean Sprouts, Seasoned Bellflower Roots , Seasoned Bracken) that serve up the ancestral rites of Korea.

But we don't eat all kinds of bracken(maidenhair) in Korea.

It's edible, and there's bracken that can't be used for food.

The bracken on the Korean table is soft and tender.

If you look at the picture below, it'll tell you apart from the edible bracken.

Fern also grows next to the (puddle) water in the mountain flowing after rain.

Fern growing in the mountains is also a neighbor with yellow wild flowers.

Fern also takes root next to the stone fence.

For your information, the maidenhair in ancient times can also be a source of coal.

Who can produce the fruits of peace that are beneficial to all like ferns that are the raw material of coal?

I hope that the life force that survives to the end like this fern is just peace.
