Declaration of World Peace

May 25th 2013, declaration of World Peace,
Peace advocate, Man Hee Lee Chairman of HWPL is declaring
Peace Walk "Let the Walk for World Peace and Restoration begin!"
Officially proclaimed at 5.25 Peace Walk at the Peace Gate, the Declaration of World Peace is HWPL’s vision for sustainable peace.

"The Heavens and the Earth formed by the hands of the Creator have been given to humanity as an inheritance.
In all the universe, life in its vast splendour exists only on our world.

The life that grows on the earth is sustained from above - by light, by the rain, and by the air they provide unconditionally to all living beings.
We have received the precious gift of life from above, let us give glory to heaven, and live in peace on earth. This is the truest teaching of heaven.

With this eternal gift - the grace and life we have received - are we entitled to fight, kill and destroy one another?
We cannot claim to desire peace and continue to provoke one another, causing conflict for the sake of valuing our own national interests above those of others.
This will only take the lives of the youth, wasting them in the futility of war.
This is not a legacy we can leave to future generations.

Of what use is a young life, born in our day and age, if it is thrown away in this manner - thrown away without having had a chance to bloom?
What price can compensate for the loss of a life?
Do these young souls have another chance at life?

As emissaries of World Peace;
as people who are working towards the restoration of humanity through a new and heavenly culture, we declare the following:

We call on the heads of state of every country to sign an international agreement - a commitment to bringing all wars to an end.
We ask them to do this from a spirit of deep-seated love for the people of their country.

We call on all youth to unite in an effort to stop wars and pursue the restoration of peace by agreeing not to fight one another. For World Peace to become a reality, this is the duty of all youth, everywhere.

The only way to stop the fighting and pointless, tragic deaths, is to stop fighting.
Nobody can ask for anything greater than this, and know that your efforts - the efforts of the young people of the world today in pursuit of peace - will remain as a never fading light of life for all future generations.

Furthermore, we call on every person, every man, woman, and child in the world, to pick up the mantle of peace.
In whatever way you can, we ask that you work to further the cause of world peace and restoration, making it a reality in your direct environments.

Lastly, we call on the media to report responsibly and promote a message of peace to the world.

World peace and restoration has begun at the same time this declaration is proclaimed.

 Thank you.

Peace advocate,
Man Hee Lee
Chairman of HWPL

With over 60% of the youth population in Asia, HWPL youth members engagement in the region has grown from humble beginnings to hosting one of the largest international peace walks in Korea and peace resolution agreements in Philippines. Notable endeavors that have marked the growth of HWPL peace campaigns in Asia have been the International Peace Walk in the Seoul Olympic Park in South Korea, held on May 25th, 2013 that brought together over 30,000 members and 262 youth organizations from all over the world.

Following the first International Peace Walk in South Korea, students in the Philippines also hosted a peace walk in Mindanao, declaring their desire for an end to the religious violence between the Islam and Catholic populations in the Mindanao region. Through the youth’s passionate engagement, a peace resolution promising peaceful relations between both Islam and Catholic groups was reached between leaders.

"Arirang" lyrics & dance video, WARP Peace Summit by HWPL

HWPL, WARP Peace Summit Day1
about "Peace of Arirang"
Peace story and video

1. "Arirang" Peace Story

"Arirang" is a Korean traditional folk song designed as the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO in 2012. It is known as "the world's folk song" with its beautiful melody that moves the heart of anyone who listens to it, transcending different cultures and nationalities.

The word "Arirang" originated from the Korean word "Ari-rang". The second part of the word "ryung" means to pass over a hill (mountain).

All of mankind dreamt and lived desiring a world of peace. It's written however, that in order to really enter into a world of peace, we have to pass over seven hills, just like the word "ari-ryung" states. These seven hills are the origin of evil that brought upon chaos and war. Passing over these seven hills is what will help in ceasing war, allowing victory over evil. We can enter into a world of peace after passing over these seven hills together. Let's overcome these hills together, then we can enter into a peaceful world.

2. "Arirang" video

All, the participants HWPL members could sing along to the lyrics of fulfilling world peace, sung to a Korean traditional song called, "Arirang".                     - on the spot WARP day1, Arirang classical dance

-the way Arirang sounds in Korean
arirang arirang arariyo arirang gogae gogaero neomeoganda
nareul beorigo gasineun nimeun simnido mot gaseo balbyeong nanda
il gop gogaereul neomgo neomeo pyeonghwaui sae nara deureoganda

-the mean of Arirang lyrics
Arirang, Arirang, Arariyo... Crossing over Arirang Pass
Dear who abandoned me [here] Shall not walk even ten before his/her feet hurt
After passing over seven hills, we will enter into a peaceful new world.

HWPL members who love peace

Goals of the WARP Peace Summit
from HWPL and HWPL members

1. To begin the process of establishing a universally applicable system of values focussing on aspects of morality and experience of life that bind us together as a global family.
 2. Establish a basic ideological foundation upon which a World Alliance of Religions can be built in order to bring conflicts founded on differing religious ideologies to an end.
 3. Draft and publicly make the Declaration of the World Alliance of Religions.
 4. Define the roles of cultural leaders, both secular and religious, in the creation and implementation of a new, heavenly culture.

It is time for us to gather!

The Solution for Peace is here~!!
