It feels new to see the mountain Hwangryeong, which I used to go to every Saturday, under the clouds near my house.

It seems like a white bear is rushing towards Mt. Hwangnyeong, looks like a human face, and looks like a cat.

I have a big event that makes my heart flutter and comes to mind when the sunny September fall begins.

It is the 9.18 the World Alliance of Religions’ Peace(WARP) Peace Event.

This year's 9.18 WARP peace event is also not host due to corona, so I feel bad.

Personally, I hope that peace will not be daunted and shrank by the coronavirus.

It is an earnest wish that the march of peace will continue.

I'll be rooting for you(HWPL) to be a peaceful activity of dynamic HWPL~!!!!!

The Intercontinental Online WARP Office meeting is a special platform where panelists, representing their respective religions, from around the globe gather to discuss their religious scriptures in the spirit of peace. This international setting allows not only the panelists but also audience members the opportunity to engage with the panelists in real-time to ask any questions in relation to religion and peace.

This meeting will be held quarterly under the series named "What Religious Texts Tell You." For the second quarter, the topic is "About the Beginning of Man".

In this special 6th edition of the Intercontinental Online WARP office, some of our esteemed members of the Solidarity of religions' peace Committee will be joining our panel as well.

☮The biggest peace conference in history World Alliance of Religions Peace Summit☮

Heavenly Culture World Peace Restoration of Light, HWPL is private peace organization which is enrolled as NGO under united nations department of public information and diplomacy department.

HWPL Chairman, Man Hee Lee who is 6.25 war veteran built such organization in order to hand down heritage with no war and spreading out.

In comparison with other peace act organization, the reason why HWPL is receiving such a great attention from international society is that HWPL has been achieving outstanding outcomes which is unthinkable and inconceivable with practical activities and executive power in order to end all kinds of conflicts and civil war all over the world.

HWPL has hosted 'World Alliance of Religions Peace Summit' which 200 thousand of people participated including 2,000 political leaders from 170 countries in order to hand down heritage with no war on 2014 Sept. 17-19.

29 former incumbent presidents, supreme court justice and political leaders have signed for agreement of proposing legislation on cessation of war world peace international law and 12 religious leader from different religion signed for agreement on world alliance of religions. Also, approximately, 2,000 leaders from 170 countries signed for agreement which contains supports and collaboration on 'cessation of war and proposal of international law' and 'world alliance of religions'.

A former president of Croatia, Stjepan Mesić who participated in ceremony at that time said that "there were no such an incident like this in history which numerous political and religious leaders have come all together to discuss peace. And people said that "there had been no such ceremony in size and content wise and chairman Man Hee Lee's answer to peace is very practical and groundbreaking".

Chairman Man Hee Lee of HWPL hosted the World Alliance of Religions' Peace Summit (WARP Summit), one of the largest peace symposiums which is annually attended by heads of state, religious and political leaders, and youth and women's organizations' representatives.

Initiated in 2014, the WARP Summit has served as a milestone on the journey towards peace.

HWPL Chairman, Man Hee Lee established the HWPL International Law Peace Committee made up of international law professionals to solidify HWPL's initiative of peace to bring all wars to an end with practical measures made by the legal process.

Religious dialogue creates greater cohesion

Heavenly Culture, World Peace, Restoration of Light (HWPL) New Zealand branch hosted the 15th World Alliance of Religions’ Peace (WARP) Office meeting on January 23, 2017.

For this dialogue, religious leaders from Islam, Mormon, Christian, Sikh faiths participated and discussed ‘Religions’ Role on Achieving Peace.’

Akshdeep Singh Gahir, Representative of Auckland Sikh Community emphasized the importance of this meeting,

“The HWPL Dialogues gives me the opportunity to open my mind even to learn my own religion and to look into other religions as well,” he said.

 Trustworthy Scripture 

A five-question survey on methods of finding ‘Trustworthy Scripture’ was after the discussion.

Anna Featherstone (Mormon), Shafiq ur Rehman (Islam, Ahmadiyya) and Akshdeep Singh Gahir (Sikh). who participated in the dialogue agreed to actively engage in HWPL’s WARP Office by accepting the differences within the religions.

Ms Featherstone of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints said, “The format that HWPL does their dialogues really works and there is a lot more discussing to be done and I am really looking forward to that.”

 Monthly meetings 

The WARP Office meetings are held every month in both Auckland and Wellington, New Zealand.

According to HWPL, religious leaders have tried to seek the concrete standards of trustworthy scripture in finding a true essence of religion and role of religious leaders in achieving peace and cessation of war comparing each religious scripture.

This approach of peace project by HWPL has its findings that religious conflicts account for over 80% of world conflicts, so ceasing this is crucial for peace.

HWPL’s WARP Office started off with the WARP Summit held in Seoul, September 18, 2014. HWPL has been operating it and religious leaders across the globe are engaging in this conversation to minimize religious conflicts and bring forth peace.

There are 204 WARP Offices in 112 countries (As of January, 2017).

A HWPL member said, “The religious leaders who participated in today’s dialogue will continue having discussion following up the directions about ‘Religions’ Role’ in peace building. Also, we will carry out them through the integral networks among religious people in New Zealand.”

Plan of Action for Advocacy to Intergovernmental Organizations,
Governments, and the Public <Mr. Man Hee Lee HWPL Chairman>

“For the 2nd Annual Commemoration of the WARP Summit, we’ve come together. All family members of peace who have a strong will for peace must gather our hearts and communicate with each other for peace to be settled one day sooner, for it is what all humanity has been longing for. Just as a leader must lead his or her followers, they (family members of peace) are striving at the forefront to make a better world. If we do it, it’s possible. It we don’t do it, it won’t happen” 
1,000 global people from 130 countries around the world participated in the Advocacy Forum for the Declaration of Peace and Cessation of War. The participants include former presidents and prime ministers, ministers and high-ranking officials of governments, specialists and leaders from international organizations, civil society, religion, women and media groups. Beginning with an opening speech by Chairman Man Hee Lee of HWPL, two parts of the forum for 4 hours sought peace building strategies based on "Plan of Action for Advocacy to Intergovernmental Organizations, Governments, and the Public."

The Potentiality of the DPCW 
and the Possibility of its Implementation 

Dr. Kamal Hossain, Senior Advocate of Supreme Court of Bangladesh and member of HWPL International Law Peace Committee, stressed the importance of advocacy of international law for peace through the implementation of the DPCW. "We must make sustainable efforts for global mobilization and to combine the strength of the millions, who yearn for an end to violence and armed conflicts. ... To this end, topics surrounding the development of such legal framework should be discussed by the United Nations (UN) and other international and/or national organizations, in order to raise awareness among the public about the importance of world peace and security, as well as the contents of such a legal framework", he said. 


Ms. Ediola Pashollari, Secretary General of World Assembly of Youth in Albania, said, "This Declaration (the Declaration of Peace and Cessation of War) is a powerful and ground-breaking tool to dispose of all means that initiate war and armed conflicts, thus further attaining humanity's fundamental goal and peace." She suggested that the promotion of value of peace and justice must be provided and said, "Another effective strategy is to make a petition that will reach out to the heads of state and make the Declaration of Peace and Cessation of War (DPCW) as a legally binding international policy. Finally, to be able to follow up and realise their vision this successfully, they should be a formation of regional representatives that will be building, encouraging and overseeing all stakeholders in order to ensure that the regions are actively involved." 


Ms. Denise Robinson has dedicated her life to women rights, democracy and prohibition of racial discrimination as a minister and member of Parliament of South Africa and Federal Leader Democratic Alliance Women's Network (DAWN), For development of the DPCW(the Declaration of Peace and Cessation of War) with the support from the public, she said, 
"In order for the DPCW to be implemented and start bringing the change which it was created for, it is imperative that the public be informed about the contents and goals of this document. This means that those of us who know this declaration now need to create situations like seminars and round table discussions around it. This should be done not forgetting the power of the media, which can carry the message much quicker and wider through radio talk shows on community radio stations, television panel discussions and social network campaigns. All these wonderful modern day tools should be harnessed to raise public awareness and offer education to our people as a first step." 


Mr. Abdessatar Ben Moussa, President of Tunisian League of Human Rights, a representative civil society organization of the National Dialogue Quartetannounced as the laureate of the 2015 Nobel Peace Prize, emphasized the legislation through parliament or congress by saying, "The essential is to submit petitions to parliamentarians to collect petitions because parliaments are the efficient pressure methods concerning governments and Heads of States. Awareness of governments within each State is NGOs’ role. In this regard, we have to work on the acquisition of the Declaration support motion of each parliament. Support motions have considerable effect." 


Chairwoman of the International Women’s Peace Group also appealed to the participants by saying, “War only gives birth to another war, leaving fear and sacrifices to our future generations. We must achieve our purpose, the advocacy for this Declaration, to not repeat the atrocities of war for the next generation. When the public’s awareness of this issue increases, the powerful strength of peace in the world will arise, transcending national interests. All heads of state, justices, and UN representatives must work at the forefront to advocate for the implementation of international law compatible with the DPCW.”

We are Youth Peaceful Volunteers for the Card Section Performance

At the WARP Summit 2016, 12,126 IPYG youth members

Last month at the WARP Summit 2016, 12,126 IPYG youth created spectacular scenes of War and Peace that captivated the viewers, which was seen as the result of purely voluntary efforts in raising great awareness for peace. Behind the scenes, however, performers, staff, and organizers, under scorching heat and humidity, spent over 180 hours practicing in the span of 18 consecutive weeks. The card section performance deeply moved all the participants on site, as well as those abroad who watched through screens, binding everyone together in the spirit of peace. So, what has motivated these youths to gather and express these exquisite moments of peace? The distinctive features regarding this year’s card section performance and the performers’ narrative interviews are highlighted here.
Spirit of Volunteerism

From the bottom of our heart, we fully support the peace work of HWPL along with IPYG and IWPG. We were more than willing to spare our time, efforts, and young spirits to raise hopeful awareness of peace. As non-paid and purely voluntary performers, the spirit of volunteerism, which has become a culture perceived among all youth performers, was something that bound us together. What we enjoy in this world should not be taken for granted, and we, as the youth in this generation, ought to give back and make this world a better place to live in for the future youth. It encourages us to keep on going even when facing many obstacles before us.


Diversity of Peace Found on Common Ground

We are students, teachers, advertising marketers, nurses, trading firm workers, salespersons, and much more, and we also come from diverse backgrounds in terms of ideals and views. Yet, we share one common ground – that is, we hope to spread a culture of peace through our performance. A culture that will move many hearts of citizens and leaders, who will come to realize the necessity of putting an end to wars and will then actually act upon their beliefs. Holding, folding, and unfolding each individual card that we made demonstrated the diversity among us and that of the world in which we live. However, it is the culture of peace that unites all differences in the mutual understanding and tolerance between peoples, communities, and nations. Our unique story and experiences are to be shared with others in spreading the culture of our common goal.


Dynamic Performance of Peace

12,126 Peace Messengers are Delivering the Hope of Peace to the World

What is great about our performance is that it delivers the hearts of many yearning for peace with strong messages and realistic scenes for the global citizens. This year’s card performance, “War and Peace” consisted of three acts: The History of War, Articles of DPCW, and Korea, the Core Nation of Peace. The 21 minute-long performance narrated the atrocities committed during war time, both in the past and present, as well as the roadmap to reach a sustainable and universal peace. Our determination and messages for the global family are captured in this video.

<The Story Behind WARP 2016 Card Stunt>

Q) What was your driving motivation to participate as card stunt performer?

I met a veteran of Korean War when I visited elderly living alone.
While I was giving him a massage, I heard him speak about the atrocious sight
he saw, fear and sorrow he felt over losing his family members at Korean War.
After such awakening, I participated at peace walk two years ago.
There, I witnessed many people who also sincerely hope for peace and saw a practical step to bring peace.
In order to join the practical steps and movement to bring peace,
I volunteered as a card stunt performer.


Q) What does card stunt performance mean to you?

I've faced many challenges while preparing for card stunt performance.
I had to endure scorching heat from sun, work in a drenching sweat, I could overcome these challenges by changing my thoughts.
When I saw many people next to me are raising their cards for the same purpose in same mindset, I felt I am not alone in this work.
That's how I could overcome such challenges.

The most difficult mement I recall was when my mother became suddenly ill the day before the practice.
I felt the fear that I could have lost someone I love the most.
It tore my heart apart when I realized there must be so many at war.
who are constantly under this fear of losing their beloved ones.
I decided to take a firm stand on their behalf to achieve world peace by participating at the IPYG Card Stunt performance which presents practical steps to bring peace.


Q) What would you like to say to people who will be watching this card stunt performance?

I'd like all who will watch the card stunt to not only watch the directed scenes but also feel the heart to put an end to wars and sacrifices of lives.
It shouldn't be the work of an individual but of everyone in the world.
As a member of this golbal family, it is our collective task to fulfill world of peace.

What is the fundamental aspect of religion? It has become one of the most crucial and pressing question to answer of all time. Religion plays a great role in forming one’s thoughts, beliefs, and values through spiritual values it teaches.

Today, religion has failed to resolve or mediate political, economic and ethnic factors leading to conflicts but rather has intensified them into bloodshed wars. United Nations and countries around the world have strongly called to take a strong stand against violent extremism committed in the name of religion.
   
We have come to a point for religion to discuss search for the truth which follows the teachings of the Creator, uphold and promote the true values of religion such as love, respect, harmony and peace. 
At this critical moment, during the 2nd Annual Commemoration of WARP Summit, HWPL and Chairman Lee reaffirmed Alliance of Religions as one of core initiatives to bring peace.
           
At the World Alliance of Religions’ Peace (WARP) Summit in 2014, religious leaders signed the Unity of Religion Agreement and pledged before the Creator and people of all nations to bring all religions into one. 
Afterwards, HWPL WARP Office was established to discuss fundamental aspect of religion and solutions to peace based on inter-religious understandings on a wide variety of topics.

During this year’s Summit, over 200 leaders representing 16 religions gathered to discuss the necessity of seeking trustworthy scripture and reaffirm their solidarity to be active proponents of achieving peace as religious leaders.

During the first part of the conference, participants saw the progress on scripture dialogue through the WARP Office meetings and were reminded of the role that religious leaders play. 

People are urging for harmony among religions and emphasizing the role of the leaders in bringing an end to wars and achieve peace in our generations. Scripture dialogue at HWPL interfaith peace meetings are taking place all around the world to truly bring the alliance of religions.

The marathon players were handed the baton in order to spread the spirit of peace that 

HWPL has tried to build, transcending both nationality and culture. 

This published content sketches the spirit and 

passion of the athletes in their pursuit of peace.

The Track, where the Victorious Marathon for Peace Takes Place

In ancient Greece, the Olympics were a peace festival that occurred every 4 years. Greeks announced the arrival of a new era based on the Olympics. During the Olympic season, people prioritized the safety of citizens and worked on spreading the spirit of peace throughout the entire region of Greece.

Those who achieved outstanding results in the Olympic Games were rewarded by having their names inscribed in the history of that glorious Olympiad, which was to be remembered by their descendants for generations to come.



During the Peace Festival for the 2nd Annual Commemoration of WARP Summit, Track and Field events, as well as the Peace Marathon, were held as “the festival commemorating putting an end to wars and ushering in the beginning of peace” Highly energized and inspired by the grand card stunt, cultural parades, and performances witnessed just prior to the event, the Track and Field players dedicated all of their efforts, along with the spirit of peace, into the game.

Just as the ancient Greek Olympic players delivered the spirit of peace throughout Greece, the marathon players were handed the baton in order to spread the spirit of peace that HWPL has tried to build, transcending both nationality and culture. This published content sketches the spirit and passion of the athletes in their pursuit of peace.

“I believe I had to overcome the limit that I had set for myself. I wanted to show that nothing is impossible. We focused on our strengths rather than weaknesses and did not even imagine making a mistake. Because of the physical disadvantages we had compared to the competing teams, we strategized our runs, even to the point of meticulously selecting the order of best runners. To overcome any limiting physical capability or technique, we worked solely on baton passing for 6 months to shorten even the fractions of seconds. In the end, our team passed the finish line as the first place.”

“When athletes run the marathon, they are grouped by their records. We adopt this system for the efficiency of the race overall. When an athlete runs for over 2 or even 3 hours, he starts to lose his will to fight and continue the race. Right at that moment, the athlete begins to feel the breath of the running athletes around him and can almost hear the voice, “Yes, I can do it”. When he is going through that moment of despair, he vividly recalls the faces of the many people who have kindly helped him out in the past. Then I realized, they were running with me all along.”


It’s almost the last day of the 2nd Annual Commemoration of the September 18th WARP Summit. The Peace Marathon has awakened within the participants the need for dedicating our efforts as individuals and states towards putting an end to wars and leaving a legacy of long lasting peace to future generations.

 Inside the track, action plans for all figures from civil societies, government personnel, religious leaders, youth, women and media are taking shape while inflaming the passions and hearts for peace needed to take it to the next step.
