HWPL, WARP Office was suggested by chairman Man Hee Lee

The 3rd HWPL-WARP Office,
the light shining to the Middle East

HWPL, WARP Office was suggested by chairman Man Hee Lee

HWPL World Alliance of Religions' for Peace:
Dialogue of Scripture in the Middle East

The discussion based on each religious scripture was held as the site of harmony and peace in the Middle East

Manama, Bahrain – On July 30th 11:00 am, there were the 3rd HWPL-WARP Office gathering at the Bahrain Association for Religious Coexistence & Tolerance office. Around 20 people including Muslim, Sikh, Hindu, Orthodox leaders and youth, women partook in the goal of achieving peace.

The 3rd HWPL-WARP office in Bahrain was progressed with much deeper contents than the other previous two meetings. Each religious representative who participated in the office discussed on the topic of “Relation between Creator and His Creation” based on their own holy scripture. Following the 2nd office which was held under the title of “Peace in the Scriptures”, the 3rd HWPL-WARP office aimed to access the essential way to achieve peace more in depth. Besides, MC partook in 3rd HWPL-WARP office by Skype. So it was a discussion for peace beyond boundaries.

Proceeded as one of the programs in 3rd HWPL-WARP office, OX quiz portion is not just confined to the discussion of their own scriptures, but to the time finding the common teaching presented in the scriptures by asking different questions. All attendees including audience and religious leaders could participate in realizing the commonalities of their religions. All participants had a discussion time to find the true will of Creator ‘Peace’ on the scriptures.

This HWPL-WARP Office was suggested by Mr. Man Hee Lee as one of the tangible ways to achieve peace at the WARP summit hosted last September 2014. 85 HWPL-WARP offices have been established in 51 countries update and it is expected to grow in numbers for the rest of the year. It has its difference from other interfaith dialogues in that religious leaders strive to find the truest teaching only based on the holy book not interfering with any man’s opinion.

It is also more meaningful because we tried to find the common answer of achieving peace in the scriptures not the differences among the scriptures.
Mr. Jasvir, a representative of Sikhism commented that we could get to know about other religions through this time and got courage when all says by concluding that there is one Creator.

Ms. Lisa, MC of 3rd HWPL-WARP office, emphasized that this HWPL-WARP office should be held more often and regularly for finding the answer of peace and achieving peace.

The HWPL-WARP office is known as the starting step of spreading peace seeds to the Middle East area where people suffer from the continuous conflicts and wars. And the peace seeds keep spreading throughout more regions and countries leaving the expectation of the result.

HWPL News, Religious Leaders at the 3rd Scripture Dialogue in London, UK

Religious Leaders at the 3rd
 Scripture Dialogue
in London, UK

UK, from culture capital of the world to capital of peace

Mr. Man Hee Lee, and religious leaders are showing their peace agreement at WARP Summit 2014 in South Korea

Religious Leaders at the 3rd Scripture Dialogue in London, UK
To realise the true teaching of religion, cease conflicts caused by religions and build a peaceful world, the UK branch of Heavenly Culture World Peace Restoration of Light (HWPL, Chairman Man Hee Lee) held the third religious scripture dialogue under the theme of ‘Angels & Demons’ on July 8th, 2015.

Starting from March 26th, this year, it is the third dialogue that the UK branch of HWPL has hosted. This time, it was held in the historical setting of Conway Hall, London which is possibly the oldest surviving free thought organisation in the world.

Religious Leaders who participated included Muslim leader and Officer of the Order of the British Empire, Seyed Yousif Al-Khoei OBE, Buddhist monk Phramaha Bhatsakorn Piyobhaso, Dr. Tanaji Acharya representing Hinduism, a Sikh educationalist Mr. Jagmeet Singh, and Christian scholar Mr. Justin Brand. As participants of the first and second Scripture Dialogues, Seyed Yousif Al-Khoei OBE and Phramaha Bhatsakorn Piyobhaso took an active part in the dialogue, showing the significance of the dialogue.

Full Shot of the 3rd Scripture Dialogue in London, UK
Each representative proclaimed the necessity of peace which needs to be fulfilled in the shaking world, including the UK, due to religious extremism. They also testified that every scripture is exclaiming about making peace, and they demonstrated that the correct understanding of scriptures is the key solution to many terrors related to religions.

One member of the audience, Adam Harvey, a student from Imperial College London, commented “All the war and conflict between religions that has arisen in the past and is still going on today, I know that it was because those people didn’t understand the true meaning of religion. It is amazing to see different religions together in harmony. I believe through these HWPL dialogues all religions can be united and an end to war can actually be achieved.”

Religious leaders presented on the topic of good, and evil in order to tackle the root cause of why there is evil in today’s world and spiritually what the source of evil is. The highly debated subject of whether God created evil provided a new perspective regarding good and evil spirits. Moreover some of the discussion examined what makes a person good or evil, and subsequently the reason why some people are led to peace whereas some are led to cause disruption and war.

Through the dialogue, the audience realised that many conflicts are occurring due to misunderstanding of religious scriptures. The religious leaders were reminded of the duty they have to correctly educate their communities, and they promised to work together to cease religious conflicts and become one under the mandate of peace.

The participants watched a presentation about a number of the peace works that the HWPL peace movement has achieved, led by the Chairman of HWPL, Mr. Lee and the Chairwoman of International Women’s Peace Group (IWPG), Through the presentation, the religious leaders and audience members were reminded of the peace agreement that was signed in Mindanao, they also witnessed the designation of ‘Peace Day’ and the erection of peace monuments in various countries over the world.

At present, these scripture dialogues are held at 62 offices in 40 countries including Finland, Japan, the US, Australia, Israel, and Germany. According to the regional manager of the UK Branch, the scripture dialogue will be held regularly in London, the culture capital of the world, for the unity and harmony of religions.

WARP Peace Summit,
Bahrain delegates

"All members of the Bahrain delegation taking part in this peace summit in South Korea have signed this document, which reflects our clear intention for peace and progress in our kingdom," -Dr Al Jowder, one of Bahrain delegates

A key agreement was signed yesterday in South Korea by representatives of 172 nations, including Bahrain, in a bid to end war and establish world peace.

The Unity of Religion Agreement, put forward as part of the three-day Summit for the World Alliance of Religions Peace (WARP) in Seoul, acts as a pledge by its signatories to work towards peace in their own countries and put an end to all conflict.

It has also been endorsed by high-level Muslim, Christian, Bah‡'’, Buddhist, Sikh and Hindu religious leaders present at the summit, which is being organised by the Seoul-based Heavenly Culture, World Peace and Restoration of Light organisation.

Manama Centre for Human Rights founding member Deena Alladhi told the GDN that Bahrain's signing of the agreement showed it was "united with the global community in working towards world peace."

Meanwhile, Dr Amal Al Jowder, a senior member of the Bahrain Association for Religious Co-existence and Tolerance, also present at the event, vowed to promote the agreement's message once she returned home.

"In the past, we have organised conferences, where religious leaders from different faiths gathered for peace and to empower the youth," she said.

"All members of the Bahrain delegation taking part in this peace summit in Seoul have signed this document, which reflects our clear intention for peace and progress in our kingdom," Dr Al Jowder added.

Following the signing of the agreement yesterday, a group of former presidents, elder statesmen, international judiciary members and youth leaders joined together to propose the enactment of an internationally-binding law that bans war and promotes world peace.

Representatives from 28 different countries signed this proposal, while others pledged their support in backing the movement.

A number of plenary sessions were also held yesterday on the sidelines of the summit, with political and religious leaders discussing the promotion of peace, cessation of war and inter-religious dialogue - as well as a special session on the role of women in world peace.

A Peace Walk will be held at the World Peace Gate in Seoul Olympic Park marking the final day of the conference.

World Peace Advocate, Man Hee Lee Urges the IBP
for the Future of Justice in the Philippines

Manila, Philippines- Philippine lawyers have a freshly sworn in the Integrated Bar of the Philippines (IBP).

The former Executive Vice President Rosario T. Setias-Reyes was appointed as the National President of IBP, replacing Attny. Vincente M. Joyas who served the organization from 2013, at the inauguration ceremony held at the Dignitaries Lounge at the Supreme Court on July 7th, 2015. Setias-Reyes is the first female National President of the IBP, the official organization of all Philippine lawyers whose names appear in the Roll of Attorneys of the Supreme Court. IBP’s national board members for 2015-2017 were sworn in before the SC Clerk of Court. At the occasion, a group of selected guests were also invited to witness the scene.

A Peace Advocate and Chairman of Heavenly Culture, World Peace, Restoration of Light (“HWPL”), Mr. Man Hee Lee attended the ceremony and the dinner held afterwards to give a congratulatory message upon the special invitation from IBP along with Chairwoman of International Women’s Peace Group (“IWPG”).

Chairman Man Hee Lee, as known his achievement is especially noteworthy in the nation, played a decisive role in ending a 40-year conflict of Mindanao between Catholic and Muslim communities. At the inaugural dinner, Chairman Lee spoke about the significance of the enactment of an international law for the cessation of war and role of judicial officers and urged the national board members of IBP and all judicial leaders to realize the necessity of amending the international law to terminate all wars. He stated that the road blocks in achieving enduring peace within this world is because there is a lack of an international constitutional law to ban wars and war crimes.

Seeing this matter, Chairman Man Hee Lee has appealed to world leaders to demonstrate their commitment to peace by signing the enactment of war into international law. “If each nation’s head and leaders desire for world peace and truly love their people, they should work for this amendment and sign on the agreement of the enactment of an international law to cease wars. For the future of justice in the Philippines, all the honorable officers who are here with me today have to urge the nations to participate in establishing a law that prohibits the further producing and developing of weapons.

In case if any states violate the law and continues to carry out any non-peaceful activities, a form of penalty and punishment should be applied under an international law,” said Chairman Man Hee Lee. Chairwoman also called on the officers present especially woman leaders to actively work for peace by saying “Numerous international agreements and principles for peace have been drawn up and ratified until today.

However, war and civil unrest have not stopped in this world. The only way to define the right framework for the nations to bring forth peace is Chairman Lee’s initiative on the enactment of an international law for peace. We, the women, have the responsibility to protect our husbands, children, and our neighbors.”

President Setias-Reyes acknowledged the tremendous efforts of two Chairpersons for the last several years, visiting nations and promoting the need of the implementation of the law for peace. As she became the new President, Setias-Reyes agreed to serve as the member of HWPL’s Peace Advisory Council to work for and bring forth such enactment. In the mean time, in his latest visit in the Philippines in late May this year, Mr. Lee has already met the former President Attny. Joyas with a few prominent political and judicial leaders through a private meeting arranged in Manila. Attny. Joyas, who has served as the member of HWPL’s Peace Advisory Council since then, again expressed his support in assisting Mr. Lee’s proposal on the enactment of an international constitution to permanently end wars and conflicts and will further collaborate with international lawmakers to implement the proposal.

The value of precious lives and resources destroyed in war are a result of decisions made by individuals and these individuals make justifications for their actionsto continue to practice war crimes in many parts of the world. As the IBP officers have agreed and pledged to protect citizens and villages of the Philippines through advising and supporting HWPL in the amendment process, it is realized that peace has come one step closer.

Remulla Jr., the Governor of Cavite, Esmael Toto Mangudadatu, the Governor of the Province of Maguindanao and Muslim representative, and Filipino leaders from all walks of life came to meet Chairman Lee. Vincent M. Joyas, IBP National President, has expressed his support in assisting the enactment of an international law for peace and will further collaborate with Korean professors in the expertise of international law.

Chairman Man Hee Lee gave a keynote speech on the topic of ‘Heavenly Culture, the essential ingredient in bringing world peace’ during the mass led by Archbishop Antonio Ledesma of the Metropolitan Archdiocese of Cagayan de Oro. At the conference with politicians and religious leaders in Cagayan de Oro, Chairman Lee also delivered a speech on the topic of ‘the role of religious leaders in conflicted areas’, emphasizing the significance of the religious leaders’ parts in conflicts and disputes while Chairwoman Kim spoke about the role of youths and women in peace building. Back in January 2014, the signing of the alliance of religions agreement led by Chairman Lee and conducted between the Catholic and Muslim leaders has brought a cease-fire of a 40-year conflict in Mindanao. Governor Esmael Toto Mangudadatu sent a special invitation to Chairman Lee to celebrate the day of the signing of peace treaty as well as the 2nd Annual Commemoration of the Declaration of World Peace. Officially proclaiming January 24th as HWPL day of Maguindanao as a day of peace, the commemorative event particularly included the unveiling of the Mindanao Peace Agreement Monument. The International Peace Youth Walk Festival was followed after the ceremony and over 3,000 youths in Maguidanao marched together.

Generose Coyme, a youth participant of the rally shared how she was deeply moved, “Mindanao bears too much pains and sorrows. It is one of the most conflicted regions in the world. From seeing HWPL’s active involvement in Mindanao with their peace initiatives every year, I can feel that this purely civil organization looks after the whole world and loves the neighboring countries as their own.” The memorial demonstrated the unity and commitment of the people of Mindanao embracing people from different backgrounds and defining the right framework for the community to achieve sustainable peace.

Chairman Man Hee Lee introduced the work of HWPL in his speech as follows, “We are undertaking the global initiatives to bring sustainable peace for all and to fulfill what is stated in the Declaration of World Peace.” He continued to urge the participants to join the peace movement by saying “Every global citizen, regardless of their social status, should work as messengers of peace, putting efforts to bring forth our common goal.” He highlighted the urgency of improving the current situations of many countries by continuing his statement, “No country should experience wars rooted in religious misunderstandings” Supreme Court Justice Sheikh Khalifa B. In the meantime, the mayor and members of the city council of the city of Alexandria, Virginia has acknowledged HWPL’s dedication in bringing people of different religions together for the establishment of peace and has recently proclaimed September 18th as the ‘World Alliance of Religions Day’ to commemorate the World Alliance of Religions’ Peace (WARP) Summit, an unprecedented international peace festival held by HWPL on September 18th in Seoul, Republic of Korea.

In addition to the accomplishments above, the National Assembly of Ecuador has recently conferred an award of national recognition to acknowledge and cooperate with the works of HWPL for the commemoration of May 25th. In the preamble to the award, the government of Ecuador recognizes that HWPL has dedicated, since its foundation, the efforts and energy aimed at actively pursuing missions widely supported by many countries while solving current issues of the world for the purpose of restoring human dignity. While the government also recognizes the works of IWPG and IPYG, the award of national recognition highlighted hard work of Chairman Lee of HWPL in spreading the global peace movement. The National Assembly of Ecuador has expressed its sincere gratitude for Mr. Lee’s spirit of volunteerism and his dedication toward preserving and fostering culture of peace.

While May 25th is becoming a crucial day bringing the sensational wave of peace worldwide, Chairman Lee sent a letter from Philippines on 24th of May to the members of International Peace Youth Group (“IPYG”) and IWPG. In the letter, he delivered his message that “The youth’s work will be the force that will put an end to all wars on this earth and create peace that will be left as a legacy for the future generations. Let us not forget this day and hold commemorative ceremonies. Let us announce this to the world so that everyone may become a peace messenger and work with us in creating the light of glory.”

The growing support and cooperation of the international community for the observance of the World Alliance of Religions Day as well as HWPL Peace Day have demonstrated that the peace works of HWPL provide an effective way to cease conflicts and promote a peaceful world.

HWPL, Man Hee Lee From South Korea, to Join Maguindanao Peace Summit

HWPL, Man Hee Lee
From South Korea, to Join
Maguindanao Peace Summit

MAGUINDANAO, Philippines - Organizers are expecting South Korean peace activists to join the Maguindanao provincial peace summit in Buluan town on May 25.

Maguindanao Gov. Esmael Mangudadatu, main organizer of the summit meant to show multi-sectoral support to the dra
ft Bangsamoro Basic Law (BBL), said they have invited Man Hee Lee, founder of HWPL from South Korea.

Chairman of HWPL, Man Hee Lee has actively been helping foster religious understanding among Christians, Muslims and other groups.

Summit organizers are also expecting representatives from the Heavenly Culture, World Peace and Restoration of Light, a popular South Korean peace advocacy outfit, to attend the summit in Buluan.

Two officials of the Seoul-based non-government organization, Philippine coordinator Joon Park and its manager, Kim Si Man, had earlier visited Buluan to search for a site where they can construct a “peace monument” in recognition of Mangudadatu’s domestic peace programs and his administration’s extensive support to the Mindanao peace process.

Only Mangudadatu, from among the five provincial governors in the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao, has openly been campaigning for public support to the draft BBL.

The bill aims to establish a Bangsamoro political entity based on a peace deal between Malacañang and the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF).

Mangudadatu said they have also invited Central Mindanao’s ranking Muslim clerics and leaders of Christian sects, including Catholic priests to join the summit.

Lawyer Bobby Katambak, a senior member of the provincial board, said leaders of the MILF have also been invited to the summit, where speakers are to talk about the gains of the Mindanao peace process and the importance of the BBL.

Members of the congressional committee handling the bill had voted in favor of the measure, now for plenary proceedings.

The May 25 provincial peace summit is the 33rd major pro-BBL activity of Mangudadatu’s office since the bill was submitted last year to Congress, via Malacañang, by the Bangsamoro Transition Commission.

The commission, chaired by the MILF’s chief negotiator, Muhaquer Iqbal, is comprised of seven representatives each from the rebel group and the government.

HWPL Chairman, Man Hee Lee, Peace Tours Effect

Chairman of HWPL,
Man Hee Lee,
Effect of World
Peace Tours

Since 2012 HWPL has become a global force. The founder, Man Hee Lee, has completed 18 world peace tours, encompassing more than 43 different countries and every continent, to speak with political and religious leaders about peace.

Achieving peace has become more concrete as these leaders around the world sign their names under the Declaration of Peace, showing their support for a world that is finally without violence.

The head of every nation wants his or her country to be peaceful and prosperous. By signing the Declaration of Peace, political leaders are showing that the love for the citizens and the desire for peace is worth taking action for.

Religious leaders should work together under God, to achieve peace under heaven by collaborating with one another. Religion needs to be used correctly to inspire love instead of fear and hate.

Is it possible that global peace can be a reality?

Yes!

Yes, Yes!!
HWPL, we believe it is possible
and the evidence has been spreading around the world.

Be a part of HWPL and help the message of hope and peace take hold in your neighborhood.

With the peace achieved by the Korean war, HWPL will continue the effort until peace is a reality not just in Korea, but in the whole world.(http://lovepeacefreedom314.blogspot.kr/2015/06/hwpl-peace.html)

Chairman of HWPL, Man Hee Lee Peace advocate who brokered a truce between Christians and Muslims in Mindanao region of the Philippines argued that the best strategy
to stop wars in the world was through the engagement of youths and women.

Peace Summit kicks off in South Korea

Ahead of the annual United Nations General Assembly in New York that features a gathering of world leaders, renowned peace activist, Mr. Man Hee Lee has been speaking on strategies to achieve global peace and understanding among diverse religious and political persuasions.

Chairman Man Hee Lee was in New York to preview the World Peace Summit scheduled to take place in Seoul, South Korea under the auspices of Heavenly Culture World Peace Restoration of Light (HWPL). In an exclusive interview with CMPI media, HWPL chairman Man Hee Lee reiterated his call for world leaders to enact a treaty that would outlaw wars in the world. In his view, peace building should be the primary goal of the United Nations.

Asked how he intended to push for such an international law banning wars without the support of the United States, chairman of HWPL Man Hee Lee expressed frustration at his inability to meet with President Obama after repeated attempts. He was however optimistic that United States and other major powers in the west would see the wisdom in eradicating wars and embracing peaceful coexistence of humanity.

Chairman Man Hee Lee who brokered a truce between Christians and Muslims in Mindanao region of the Philippines argued that the best strategy to stop wars in the world was through the engagement of youths and women. Youths, he said, remained the active population often deployed by leaders to engage in wars and yet no youth is ever compensated for their involvement.

Youths lose their lives in wars; women allow their children to become child soldiers and yet the older generation who are in leadership positions protect their families and themselves against the ravages of war.

The 84-year old peace activist and veteran of the Korean War flanked by leaders of different religious faiths including Sikh, Hindu, Islam, and Christianity noted that inter-religious dialogue was necessary to begin to heal the wounds of mistrust and bigotry.

Mr. Man Hee Lee Chair, Heavenly Culture World Peace Restoration of Light As the Chairman of HWPL (one of the largest international NGO’s working to advance peace initiatives through culture, arts, religion and policy) he has traveled to over 72 countries in the last two years at the invitation of world presidents, high religious officials, and youth organizations to share his message of peace.

The World Alliance of Religions’ Peace Summit which will be held from 17 to 18 September 2014, in Seoul, the Republic of Korea is being attended by delegates from around the world including Center for Media & Peace Initiatives, a New York based organization focused on conflict-resolving media practice around the world.

At a one-day symposium in New York attended by peace activists including Arvind Vora, a practicing Sikh, Sheikh Musa Drammeh of Muslim Community Reports, and Rashad Alkhader, a researcher in peace and human rights, Dr. Uchenna Ekwo of Center for Media & Peace Initiatives, and Mr. Man Hee Lee, Chairman of HWPL, participants emphasized the importance of peace and nonviolence in world torn apart by sectarian and racial differences. In his remarks at the event, Dr. Ekwo spoke of the role of journalists in peace building emphasizing that the choice of journalists in how they report issues and events could make a difference between violence and peace.

Heavenly Culture, World Peace, Restoration of Light (“HWPL”, Chairman Man Hee Lee) held their first Dialogue of Scriptures through the World Alliance of Religions’ Peace (WARP) Office at Riga Business School in Riga, Latvia on June 11th 2015. Embarking on the very first dialogue in Latvia, a Hindu representative Yogi Matsyendranath (of Natha Sampradaya) and other religious leaders from various faiths such as Lutheran Church, Buddhism, Catholicism, and Islam presented and discussed under the theme of ‘Definition of True Peace according to the Scripture.’Also headed by Randa Medne, the president of a youth group ‘Latvian 4-H’, and Gatis Kondrats, a founder of ‘Street warriors’, many youth participated and had Q&A time about the contents of the presentations.

The event first began by watching introduction videos of HWPL and WARP Summit, an unprecedented international peace festival held in last September in Republic of Korea. All the religious leaders who had seen the video of WARP summit for the first time were pleased to join such a great peace activity as Latvian peace delegates, being amazed by the large scale of HWPL’s peace movement.

Through the presentations of each religious leader, the important role of religious leader to establish peace was emphasized which led to the signing of the peace agreement, promising each other that they will continuously meet together for the purpose of peace. By listening to the statements of religious leaders, the youth participants had confidence that this meeting that discovers the answer to peace within each religious scripture would be the basis of all peace works.

The WARP office of HWPL, which is already being established globally with 62 offices in 41 countries, will also be held in many parts of the world in June including India and Switzerland. It is continuously being established all around the globe by religious leaders voluntarily and it aims to compare religious scriptures to recognize the true will of God, which is peace, not war, even within all the different teachings, and to become one. It is favorably reviewed as a practical way to advance the realization of world peace, because the Peace Dialogue does not end with just ‘recognizing’ the matter but encourage religious leaders to put ‘steady efforts’ to achieve a common goal, “World Peace.”

Chairman Man Hee Lee played a key role in ending a 40-year religious conflict in Mindanao, Philippines where it used to be the hotspot of Asia. On May 25th 2015, he visited Mindanao and participated in the 2nd Annual Commemoration of the Declaration of World Peace and held International Peace Youth Group Walk Festival. By doing this, Catholic and Muslim representatives expressed their will to collect all hearts of the people for peace. With a growing support and cooperation of the international community, well-known places like city of Alexandria in Virginia state, Mindanao Philippines, and Royal Bafokeng Nation in Republic of South Africa have acknowledged HWPL’s achievements by unveiling peace monuments and designating May 25th as ‘HWPL Day’ as a day of world peace.

Of three Baltic States, Latvia’s first WARP Office is expected to play a key role as catalyst to remind the neighboring countries of the importance of peace. In this event, it was even more noteworthy that religious leaders who promised to become one through the peace agreement positively discussed the 2nd HWPL’s WARP Office in Latvia.
